Music Production for Women (MPW) have announced that their Master Your Music – Live event will return to the University of Westminster in London on 8 July 2023, offering a full day of free, in-person masterclasses for female and non-gender conforming musicians.
The event has been organised due to popular demand, with almost 200 artists having attended last year, and will feature sessions with the likes of MPG Award-winning vocal producer Ramera Abraham, Ableton Certified trainer and YouTuber LNA and MPW’s award-winning founder and CEO Xylo Aria, with more yet to be announced.
The day will run from 9:30am to 4:30pm, and will feature six in-person workshops covering a variety of topics that are important to independent artists such as the basics of music production, sound design and mixing, music marketing, PR and songwriting workflows. A networking session will follow, where attendees will be given the opportunity to connect with 10 fellow musicians over the course of an hour.
“When you’re new to the music production space, it can often feel overwhelming to know where to start and how to start building a network. We designed this day to be that perfect first step where artists, particularly women, can get a taste of music production, while making new friends in a safe and encouraging space.” - Xylo Aria, MPW founder and CEO
One lucky attendee will also take away the event’s grand prize, which includes a pair of Neumann NDH 20 headphones, a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface, an SE X1S microphone bundle, a pair of KRK Go 4 studio monitors, the Kilohearts Ultimate Bundle and 10 hours of studio time with Pirate Studios.
Free tickets for the event will be available via the Music Production for Women website until the venue’s capacity has been reached.
