MPW: Women in Music Tech Summit

Free global summit with industry experts

Music Production for Women Empowering Women in Music Tech free online masterclass event

Music Production for Women (MPW) have announced that they will be hosting a two-day online music masterclass event that aims to empower female and non-gender conforming musicians. Taking place on 19 and 20 October 2024, the Women in Music Tech Summit will feature sessions with the likes of MPG Award-winning vocal producer, Ramera Abraham; Ableton Certified Trainer, LNA; and MPW’s award winning founder and CEO, Xylo Aria, with more still to be announced.

The organisation last ran the event in 2022, when it attracted over 2000 registrants from over 120 countries. This time around, the days will feature 10 workshops covering a wide variety of topics pertinent to today’s independent artists including the basics of music production, sound design and mixing, as well as music marketing, PR and songwriting. Both days will also include networking sessions that will allow attendees to connect with like-minded musicians.

“It’s such a privilege for me to run these events as I know how transformative they have been previously in changing the mindset of many attendees toward music technology. Once women see that there is no reason they can’t learn the skills to produce music, they have surpassed the most significant hurdle!” - Xylo Aria, Founder, Music Production for Women

MPW was founded five years ago, with the aim of empowering women in music technology and prides itself on not only providing practical and actionable educational content, but also on harbouring a safe and encouraging space to learn in. They have already run workshops and courses to over 8,000 musicians from over 120 countries and continue to grow steadily. The organisation has been included on the Top 50 Innovators of East London list in 2020, as well as being named as a finalist in the 2023 and 2024 Business xCellence Awards. Their founder, Xylo Aria has received an Honourable Mention in the IABCA 2024 Young Business Professional of the Year Awards presented at the Australian Parliament House.

The event will be held on 19 and 20 October 2024 between 09:00 and 15:00 BST. It is being backed by Creative Australia, and free tickets will be available until its capacity has been reached. You can find out more and sign up via the link below.
