Music Production for Women (MPW) have announced that they are offering four scholarship places for female/non-binary individuals to take part in their year long Master Your Music programme, providing each recipient with over $10,000 worth of educational resources.

The scholarships — which are supported by Distrokid, Songtrust and MPW — will provide recipients with access to weekly masterclasses in music production, mixing, music marketing, sound design and many other topics. The sessions will be delivered by experts including: Ramera Abraham, a UK-based MPG Award-winning vocal producer who has worked with artists including Adele, Stormzy and Little Mix; and Lillian Frances a US-based artist and producer who has shared a stage with artists such as Sylvan Esso and Shakey Graves. In addition to the masterclass access, students will also receive monthly group mentoring sessions to help them achieve their music goal for the year, as well as gaining access to a supportive and safe community.

“I’m so moved by the impact this programme has had on our students’ lives in previous years. Most importantly, the confidence of our students, gained through the realisation of producing their own music when previously it was barely within the realm of possibility, has been an absolute pleasure to witness.” - Xylo Aria, Founder, MPW

Those who wish to participate in the one-year, remotely delivered programme, will require access to a laptop, headphones and a copy of Ableton Live. Scholarship winners will be provided with a copy of Ableton Live Lite, along with the option of upgrading at a special, discounted price.

These places are designed to be awarded to those facing financial hardship who could not otherwise be part of the course.

Applications for the programme close on the 29 November 2024. The application form, along with further details on the programme, can be found here.
