Mic makers debut new vintage emulation
https://www.lukeaudiollc.com/
Nashville-based mic makers Luke Audio have made a concerted effort to keep all production of their mics in the USA, even platinum-sputtering their own diaphragms in-house — a process that is unique. Their latest offering, the AL1 Phoenix features three switchable polar patterns (figure-of-eight, cardioid and omni) is designed to emulate the vintage tube greats and the mic itself will cost $1199. To that end, their mic sports an NOS (new old stock) 6072a vacuum tube, AMI output transformers and hand selected resistors.
