Musik Hack’s approach to plug-in development focuses on simplicity and user experience, with both of their existing offerings combining a selection of different processes while presenting users with a selection of intuitive controls that encourage experimentation. Their debut release, Master Plan, acts as an all-in-one bus processor aimed primarily at mastering duties, while its follow-up, Fuel, delivers a more more general-purpose tool that combines upward and downward compression with a range of clipping and saturation-based tools.
Taking pride of place on the company’s booth at The NAMM Show 2026 was their third creation, SweetEQ. Set for release on 14 February 2026, the latest addition to the range is described as a saturation EQ, but in keeping with the Musik Hack approach, bears little resemblance to your average EQ plug-in. First up is the Low band, which introduces some low-end harmonics, and is followed by Density, which is designed to add some weight to thin-sounding sources. Lift follows, offering a midrange lift designed to push sources forward in a mix, and High aims to provide some top-end ‘sparkly’ without introducing any harshness.
All four bands are feature a simple level control, and the Low and High bands are both equipped with an additional parameter. Low features a Pitch slider that makes it possible to tune it to suit the source material, and High is joined by a Calm control that can be used to counter the any unwanted effects caused by opting for more extreme settings. As with Fuel, SweetEQ is said to be a great choice for processing individual sources as well as shaping the sound of busses and full mixes.
