Musik Hack, the company founded by Grammy-nominated producer/engineer Stan Greene and composer/plug-in developer Sam Fischmann, have just announced the launch of their second plug-in. Described as the ultimate sound enhancer, Fuel provides users with an all-in-one bass enhancer, clipper, limiter and saturator that promises bring any session to life.
The company say that Fuel has been made for those looking for low-end weight, smooth dynamics and powerful limiting, and offers a simple alternative to employing multiple plug-ins. It features the same transparent maximiser algorithm featured in Master Plan, which has gained a new low-latency mode that makes it possible to put the plug-in to work live tracking sessions or live performances. There’s also some trap-inspired soft clipping and distortion, with a choice of modes offering a versatile range of saturation characters.
Further dynamics processing is provided by a simple one-knob compressor section that offers a choice of upward and downward compression, as well as an OTT Multi-band note designed for levelling out a track’s tonality. Saturation is handled by a pair of controls: Bass and Thick. As you might expect, the former is aimed at low-end sources, and is designed for adding some weight to the likes of kick drums and basses, while the introduces some modern-sounding distortion that is said to work well on sources such as synths, guitars, keys, drums, vocals and more.

Fuel is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or higher, and Macs running macOS 10.13 and above. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
