Acoustic treatment experts Vicoustic have announced the release of the VicDisplay Guitar and VicDisplay Bass, a pair of new products aimed at studio users that combine instrument holders with acoustic panels.
Recognising that practical instrument storage is often as much of an issue in recording studios as appropriate acoustic treatment, the company have decided to tackle both problems with a single solution. Both of the new panels are constructed using the company’s VicPET Wool, a material which is largely constructed from recycled plastic bottles, and come in a choice of three colours: black, red, and grey. Vicoustic specify an NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) value of 0.3 for each panel, and state that they work most effectively at absorbing at mid-range and high-frequency sound.
The panel dimensions are as follows:
- VicDisplay Guitar: 1190 x 475 x 17 mm (height x width x depth)
- VicDisplay Bass: 1385 x 475 x 17 mm (height x width x depth)
- Panel depths including holder: 137mm
