Immersive audio experts Noise Makers have announced the release of a new convolution reverb plug-in that’s been designed specifically for those mixing with multi-channel speaker setups. Studio Verb includes 53 SRIRs (Spatial Room Impulse Responses) that capture a wide range of acoustic spaces and promise to deliver accurate, enveloping spatial reverbs.
The company say that the new reverb is the natural evolution of their Ambi Verb HD plug-in, and that their existing Ambisonic impulse responses have been adapted to handle immersive speaker setups. As a result, Studio Verb is capable of emulating a variety of concert halls, studios, living rooms, churches and outdoor spaces. A selection of new impulses are also included, and users are free to extend the built-in collection by importing their own custom multi-channel impulse response files.
A total of 15 channel layout formats are supported, ranging from the likes of mono, stereo and quad up to 9.1.6, with the plug-in offering detailed control over the spatial properties of the generated reverberation. Users are able to fine-tune the sound of the spaces using Decay, Spread and Pre-Delay controls, and it’s possible to store, recall and automate up to 40 different snapshots.
Compatibility
Studio Verb is supported on Windows and macOS systems, and is available as a VST3, AU or AAX plug-in.
