DW have announced the launch of the latest expansion to their recently introduce virtual drum software. The new Pure Cherry expansion equips DW Soundworks users with the sound of the company’s Collector’s Series kit, a model renowned for its bright attack, rich midrange and balanced sustain.
As with the other releases in the DW Soundworks range, the latest expansion has been captured by the company themselves at the DW Factory using an array of high-end mics, preamps and outboard gear, and is presented as a collection of high-quality 24-bit/48kHz samples. The Collector’s Series Pure Cherry kit, as its name suggests, is constructed from cherry wood, a brighter alternative to maple that means the kit is well suited to up-tempo, dynamic styles such as fusion, funk, pop and gospel.
