Peterson launch the StroboVUE

Latest strobe tuner features always-on display

Peterson StroboVUE always-on guitar pedalboard strobe tuner

The latest addition to the Peterson range boasts the same accuracy as the company’s existing strobe tuners, but with a  compact footprint and convenient always-on display that make it ideal for pedalboards.

The StroboVUE features a space-saving design, with its compact enclosure fitted with rear-mounted I/O and power connectors to help maximise pedalboard real estate. Its large display — the same model that features in the renowned StroboStomp HD — remains active at all times, allowing users to quickly check their tuning at a glance, and offers customisable colours that ensure it remains visible in a wide variety of lighting conditions.

Tuning accuracy is quoted as an impressive ±0.1 cent, and as well as catering for standard tunings, the unit offers support for a range of different instruments and alternative tunings. The Concert a pitch can be set anywhere between 390 and 490 Hz, and there are 130 sweetened and guided tuning options built in; the guided options provide numerical string values rather than note names, offering an intuitive way to re-tune when using alternative tunings.

The StroboVUE is also kitted out with a high-quality buffered output that’s been designed to help preserve high-frequency detail and prevent signal loss when driving long cable runs.
