PSI Audio introduce the A326 D-REX

Pairs with company’s A226 MAIN monitors

PSI Audio A326 D-REX A226 MAIN studio monitors dynamic range extension

PSI Audio have announced the launch of the A326 D-REX, a new speaker that’s been designed specifically as a companion for their A226 MAIN monitoring system.

The company say that as the A226 themselves are capable of reproducing frequencies all the way down to 20Hz, the A326 D-REX is not acting as a subwoofer, and instead serves to increase the system’s dynamic range. Loaded with three 10-inch drivers, the unit covers a frequency range of 20 – 100 Hz, but has been designed to interact with the A226 in a way that allows the two units to function as if they were one speaker. When stacked together, the two devices offer perfect frequency and phase alignment, and will deliver peak SPLs of up to 126dB while retaining the clear and transparent sound for which the A226 are renowned.

As with all of PSI Audio’s gear, the latest offering is manufactured by highly trained specialists at the copmpany’s own workshop in Switzerland, with every A326 D-REX calibrated individually in an anechoic chamber and the resulting graphs provided to the user.
