Applications open for Barcelona 2008
The tenth Red Bull Music Academy, an annual fortnight-long school for budding musicians, DJs and producers from around the world, is taking applications. Each year, the Academy jets 60 up-and-coming music makers to a new location; this time, they’re heading to Barcelona in Spain.
During the two weeks, students get practical tuition in world-class facilities, as well as lectures from respected figures in their respective arenas, along with, of course, opportunities to collaborate and make music with their fellow students.
Applications are taken from all around the world, creating what should be a diverse collection of music-minded people. Applicants must be 18 or over (on the 21st September 2008) and must be available to take part in one of the two academic terms: September 21st to the 3rd October, or 12th October through to the 24th October.
