INTJ Software launch AudioBench

Build, experiment and perform with real-time DSP

INTJ Software AudioBench DSP signal chain building testing analysis

INTJ Software have annoucned the launch of a new Mac application that allows musicians, audio engineers, educators and DSP enthusiasts to build, visualise and explore custom audio signal chains in real time.

Designed for everyone from beginners learning the foundations of audio processing to advanced users designing their own DSP algorithms, AudioBench combines an intuitive drag-and-build GUI with a suite of profssional-level analysis tools. Users can assemble signal paths, visualise waveforms and spectra, tweak parameters and hear results instantly, all without needing to write a single line of code.

INTJ Software say that the application introduces a fresh, visual approach to audio design. It includes a set of modules that each represent a concept — filters, delays, panners, distortion, modulators, analysers, oscillators, compressors, meters and more are all present. Users are able to connect multiple modules to create signal chains, and then use the software’s built-in tools to observe the signals flowing through them and develop an understand how each piece shapes the incoming sound.

Key Features

  • Modular signal-flow canvas for assembling audio and control signal chains.
  • Real-time visualisation: waveform scopes, spectrographs and more.
  • A deep library of audio and control modules, from fundamentals to advanced DSP building blocks.
  • Educational templates that demonstrate concepts like compression, modulation, quantisation, stereo imaging, dithering, IIR design and beyond.
  • Designed for experimentation, exploration, learning and rapid DSP prototyping.

“AudioBench started as a personal experiment, but quickly became the audio tool I always wished existed. It’s not a DAW, it’s not a plug-in host — it’s a creative sandbox where you can explore how sound works and build your own audio ideas from the ground up. We wanted AudioBench to be both powerful and approachable. If you’re a musician, it helps you understand what your pedals and plug-ins are actually doing; if you’re a DSP student, it gives you a visual lab; if you’re a developer, it’s a playground for ideas.” - Evan Olcott, Founder, INTJ Software

Compatibility

AudioBench is supported on Macs running macOS 15.
