Improved management of Logic Pro Articulation Sets

Loic Desjardins LASE Logic Pro Articulation Set Editor software

Loïc Desjardins Music have announced the launch of a handy new Mac application that provides Logic Pro users with more comprehensive control over their Articulation Sets.

Logic Articulation Set Editor (LASE) is a standalone macOS application that offers more in-depth editing of Articulation Sets than is provided by Logic Pro itself. It can be used to create new sets from scratch or edit existing files created by the in-DAW editor, and boasts a whole host of features that aim to cut down on the time spent creating and managing sets. Its abilities range from tasks such as re-ordering articulations and changing their assigned colours to more complex processes such as making batch changes to existing sets of data and flagging parameter inconsistencies.

What’s New?

Version 1.2.0 of LACE has just launched, and introduces the following new features, fixes and improvements:

  • New: Import from Excel or CSV or TXT file with replace/append modes.
  • New: Undo (up to 50 steps).
  • New: MIDI Learn. Use a keyboard or control surface to set Outputs & Switches.
  • Fix: Deleting articulation doesn’t trigger global renumbering (row or Delete selection).
  • Fix: MIDI Channel is loaded & saved properly (no more shift by 1).
  • Fix: In Switches, overlap error colouring is now based on Selector and Values.
  • Fix: In Outputs, when Type is Controller, MIDI Note doesn’t affect CC on selected rows.
