Rhodes are now taking orders for two new Custom Shop MK8 pianos that have been inspired by winter landscapes and brutalist architecture respectively. The Glacial and Monolith limited-edition models will be hand-built to order in Leeds, UK by Rhodes Master Builders, and will not be reissued once the order window closes on 9 January 2026.
Custom Shop Glacial
Rhodes say that the MK8 Glacial has been inspired by “the quiet intensity of winter and the clarity of frozen landscapes”. Its design centres on a hand-engraved transparent hood etched with a frost motif, and features an Arctic White front panel, cheekblocks, tolex base and matching sustain pedal. Subtle accents of Frostline Blue in the inlays, dial caps and logo plates complete a palette inspired by the stark, reflective tones of cold-weather environments.
