Rhodes have announced that their recently released Rhodes Wurli plug-in has been rebranded as Wurlitzer by Rhodes following official endorsement from Wurlitzer themselves. The move marks the first time that Wurlitzer have formally supported a digital recreation of their classic reed-based electric piano, recognising Rhodes’ software as an authentic and faithful representation of the original instrument.
The plug-in, originally released in 2025 as Rhodes Wurli, remains the same but will now carry an updated name. Rhodes and Wurlitzer say that their shared history and legacies make the endorsement a rare moment in music-tech history, bringing together two of the most influential electric piano brands behind a single virtual instrument.
