Relab announce VSR REV6000 plug-in

Company recreate TC Electronic's System 6000

Relab VSR REV6000 TC Electronic System 6000 reverb emulation plug-in

Relab are well known for their emulation plug-in, and the latest addition to their line-up sets its sights on one of the most sought-after reverb processors around, the TC Electronic System 6000. VSR REV6000 is said to be the most accurate recreation of the popular unit available, and is the result of years of research and machine learning development.

The company say that they have taken a no-compromise approach to emulating the sound of the original unit, faithfully recreating the algorithms used in the hardware version in an effort to deliver the most accurate representation possible. The plug-in’s algorithms respond to parameter changes in real time, with each parameter change interacting with multiple aspects of the sound and allowing the software to respond in the same way as its physical counterpart.

VSR REV6000 promises to deliver natural-sounding early reflections, and thanks to a collection of different room types, offers everything from subtle ambience and tight, focused room sounds to classic ‘Hollywood Hall’ reverbs. As with the original unit, a set of faders offer control over early reflection and decay levels, as well as Hi and Lo Color and Decrease (diffusion) parameters. Relab say that once you’re using the plug-in, you’ll wonder how you managed without it, and they’re so confident that it’ll impress that they’re offering a 30-day money back guarantee!

Compatibility

VSR REV6000 is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and higher. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available. It is authorised via PACE’s iLok system, although machine authorisation is supported and a USB dongle is not required.

Pricing & Availability

VSR REV6000 is available now, and is currently (16 July 2024) being offered at an introductory price of $149, reduced from its full cost of $199.
