Soniccouture release The Attic

New VI collection breathes life into lesser-known synths

EMS Synthi AKS in The Attic by SoniccoutureThe EMS Synthi AKS is recreated by Soniccouture in the AtticThe Attic from Soniccouture brings to life 10 characterful analogue instruments in one package including the Roland RS202 String Machine, the EMS Synthi AKS (famously used on Pink Floyd’s ‘On The Run’) and a personal favourite, the Suzuki Omnichord.

The instruments, made for Kontakt Player, use samples of every note from every device that’s been captured, including all the inconsistencies that make these vintage instruments so intriguing. The analogue behaviour of each has also been modelled, including oscillator drift, natural attack variation, custom chorus and ensemble effects, mono mode and legato. Effects are also built in with specially-designed convolution effects, phaser, chorus, delay, compression, EQ, filters, amp modelling, overdrive and more.
