SOS Seminars a hit at London Show

Music Production Show plays host to SOS sessions

Music Production Show 2013Music Production Show 2013There was a great turn-out for the SOS seminars at the Music Production Show at the Emirate Stadium in London on Friday and Saturday.

SOS Editor-in-Chief Paul White and Technical Editor Hugh Robjohns took to the stage to deliver a seminar called 'It won't sound right if you don't hear it right'. Simplifying the thorny topic of studio acoustics, monitors and critical listening, the free-to-attend session was a big hit. This was followed up by an open Q&A session in which our hugely knowledgeable editors called upon their wealth of experience to answer questions on a vast range of studio-related subjects.

The SOS seminars were just one element of a larger show which saw big names in the pro audio industry such as Focusrite/Novation, Avid, Sennheiser, Sontronics and Yamaha. Many other big brands were also represented with Sound Technology giving the SSL Matrix 2 desk it's first UK outing at a show, and Sonic Distribution showing the the API Box for the first time.

Heil Sound also had a presence and the legendary Bob Heil, inventor of the modern PA system and the talkbox, was busy throughout the two days of the show demonstrating his latest dynamic microphones.
