Modular music performance system grows with your needs

Vancouver-based music technology outfit Dasz Instruments were demoing their expandable music performance system, Alex, in Nashville this week. The system can be expanded in blocks of four tracks, each of which feature a polyphonic virtual analog synth and sampler, a step sequencer, stereo effects, and looper.
Designed to take the place of a laptop on stage, Alex can also control external instruments via MIDI and CV. There’s a lot to get into, so check out the video above.
