SynthMaster, while not the biggest name in soft synths, has a lot to offer so it’s worth checking out the website if you’re looking for some fun and affordable new sounds. Now is a great time to do that as SynthMaster’s makers, KV331 Audio, are running a 70% off sale throughout the month of November.
They have also launched a song contest with cash and software prizes up for grabs. Any licensed user of SynthMaster or SynthMaster Player can enter this contest — Synthmaster Player can be purchased now for $9. Songs should be between three and five minutes in length and all entries will be put into a Souncloud Playlist once entries close at the end of the month so the public can vote. If you make a masterpiece though, and your dedication to songwriting precludes you from having masses of friends (or fans), then don't fear. There will also be a private judging.

- 2nd place: $250 cash + SynthMaster Everything Bundle Upgrade license

The rules/conditions of the song contest are:
1. Any licensed user of SynthMaster or SynthMaster Player can enter this contest. If you are not a licensed user and would like to enter the contest you can purchase a SynthMaster Player license for $9 at: http://www.synthmaster.com/purchase.aspx
2. The song should be between 3 to 5 minutes.
3. External effects, vocals or drums can be used in the song. External instruments, synths, etc are obviously not allowed.
4. Presets from SynthMaster expansions or user presets can be used.
5. The songs should be sent to us between November 15-November 30. We would prefer the files to be sent over file sharing services like DropBox. The song should be in 320kbits/sec, 44.1khz stereo MP3 format.
6. We will upload all songs to a new playlist on our SoundCloud channel and announce them here and also on our Facebook channel.
7. Public voting will take place on our SoundCloud and Facebook channels between December 1-December 15. There will also be a private judge voting. The judge will formed from SynthMaster sound designers and users invited by KV331 Audio.
8. The weight of public/private voting will be 50%/50%. We will announce the top 10 results on December 16.
9. Cash prizes will be paid via PayPal.
