Klevgrand have announced the release of a new algorithmic reverb plug-in which they say deconstructs the traditional ideas of what a reverb should be. Walls is kitted out with a selection of six distinct algorithms that are capable of producing everything from “grounded realism to bending, impossible geometries”.

Built around a newly developed algorithmic reverb engine, Walls has been influenced by a range of classic reverb effects, but includes some innovative twists that help users create surreal-sounding spaces. It boasts an intuitive and user-friendly GUI, but still packs in enough parameters to provide users with detailed control over their reverb sounds.

Key Features

Six different acoustics algorithms:
- Spring: Ranging from classic spring reverbs to more experimental metallic resonators. Ideal for plucked instruments.
- Hex: a delay/reverb hybrid, suitable for non-reverb effects, granular textures and abstract sound design.
- Cosmic: For deep, diffused soundscapes. Ideal for experimental textures, synths, effects and percussive sounds.
- Binary: a deliberately degraded reverb with poor realism. For vintage-style digital ambience and resonant textures.
- Plate: Well suited to general- purpose reverb applications. Synths, vocals and percussive sounds, to name a few.
- Hall: Similar to Plate, but with a larger, more realistic sound. For emulating real acoustic spaces, from small to huge.
