ABmyMix: Online mix-comparison tool

Audition & compare file versions using browser-based player

ABmyMix online audio music mix version A/B comparison tool

Created by independent developer Neil Thomas, ABmyMix is a browser-based tool that has been created to solve a common problem faced by artists, producers and engineers: comparing mix versions outside of a DAW.

Neil says that he began work on the tool after developing an interest in coding during the Covid lockdowns, a move which led to the creation of a comprehensive system for comparing different mix versions while ‘on the go’. The browser-based player allows users to load in tracks directly from their device or a Dropbox folder, as well as supporting links from other file-hosting websites and services — MP3, WAV, AAC/M4A, OGG, OPUS and FLAC formats are supported.

Once mixes have been added to the player, their levels are automatically matched, allowing users to audition their mix versions without carrying out any manual volume adjustments. a helpful selection of built-in tools are present, including blind-test modes, looping and sync points, and the ability to sum to mono as well as audition the Sides signal. It’s even possible to add time-stamped notes to share feedback with clients and other users.

Key Features

  • Automatic level-matching.
  • Looping and sync functions.
  • Blind-test modes.
  • Shareable setups with time-stamped notes for client feedback.
  • All data is private and secure; nothing is uploaded anywhere.

The tool is completely free for anybody to use, with no sign-up or download required. Take a look at the link below to check it out!
