Intuitive synth gets visual overhaul

Klevgrand Syndtsphere free software synthesizer virtual instrument update

Klevgrand have announced that one of their innovative free virtual instruments has just received a major update. Syndtsphere has been treated to a complete visual overhaul that the company say makes it more intuitive and inspiring than ever.

Described as a “spherical polyphonic synthesizer”, Syndtsphere centres around a simple interface that places a collection of 70 preset sound states in an interactive ‘sphere’ module. Users are able to blend seamlessly between sounds by clicking and dragging within the sphere, with all of the instrument’s parameters morphing dynamically in response to the user’s movements. A Modulation section houses PB (pitch-bend) Range and Glide parameters along with a switchable Legato mode, and a built-in ping-pong effect is available courtesy of a Delay section, with some customisation possible thanks to Time, Feedback, Mix and Swap L+R controls.

Compatibility

Syndtsphere is supported on PCs running Windows 7 or higher, and Macs running macOS 10.10 and above. VST, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available. There are also iPhone/iPad versions available from the App Store, which require iOS/iPadOS versions 13.0 or later.

Pricing & Availability

Syndtsphere is available now, with the desktop version free to download, and the iOS/iPadOS version priced at $1.99.
