Waves have announced the launch of Waves V16, the latest version of their extensive plug-ins collection. Along with compatibility with the latest operating systems and DAW versions, the refreshed collection benefits from a number of new features designed to help users work more efficiency and streamline their mixing process.
V16 rolls out a whole host of updates to Waves’ vast catalogue of over 240 plug-ins, introducing a range of usability enhancements that provide clearer visuals and provide users with improved control over their mix. Auto Makeup Gain into five iconic compressors — CLA-2A Compressor/Limiter, CLA-3A Compressor/Limiter, CLA-76 Compressor/Limiter, Abbey Road RS124 Compressor, and V-Comp — helping to ensure consistent output levels and eliminating disruptive loudness jumps.
COSMOS Sample Finder, the company’s smart sample organiser and browser, now operates seamlessly as a plug-in within DAWs, enabling sample auditioning that says in sync with a session’s key and tempo information. The updated COSMOS also features reduced scan times, auto-grouping of identical audio, an updated interface and range of performance enhancements.
Waves V16 also introduces freeform corner-drag resizing across all Waves plug-ins, enabling users to customise their plug-in window sizes to suit their workspace preferences, while the V-Series bundle — which includes V-COMP, V-EQ3, V-EQ4, IR-Live Convolution Reverb and MaxxBass — have been treated to a new, modernised GUI that offers enhanced visual clarity.
