Vocalign, the highly regarded audio-alignment tool from software developers Synchro Arts, has just been made available in VST3 format. Vocalign was originally developed for dubbing mixers to help them line up replaced dialogue with originally recorded audio, but it has since found its way into the armoury of many a producer and mix engineer, thanks to its ability to align the timing elements of one audio track with another (such as tightening up backing vocals, for example).
Until now, Vocalign has only been compatible with Pro Tools and Logic, but the latest version, Vocalign Project 3, is a VST plug-in and so should be compatible with most other DAWs (thoughSynchro Arts have only tested it with versions 4 and 5 of Cubase and Nuendo).
