Synchro Arts have announced the release of the latest version of their pitch-correction plug-in, which aims to make vocal processing even faster and more intuitive. RePitch Standard 1.3 introduces some new features which offer more in-depth control over vocal tuning, and also boasts improved processing times.
A new Shaper tool has been implemented, and aims to provide a simpler, non-destructive way to edit pitch transitions. The tool makes it possible to drop Shape Points onto a vocal line, allowing pitch transitions to be edited in a similar way to moving around automation breakpoints, and making it possible to correct complex elements such as vibrato without the need to split notes into several parts.
Continuing with the editing improvements, a new Control Point feature embeds the essential tools for editing directly into the note block in the plug-in's GUI. This allows users to quickly carry out tasks such as modulation adjustments, correcting drift, applying level changes and making timing adjustments without the need to swap tools.
With the introduction of customisable hotkeys, it is now possible to assign keyboard shortcuts to tasks, and a new default shortcut has been implemented, with users now able to press their B key to instantly bypass the plug-in’s processing and audition their settings against the unprocessed sound.
