The Metaverse joins the Wampler pedal line-up as a highly configurable stereo delay pedal, complete with 11 studio-grade delay algorithms. Combining the functionality of MIDI and the powerful DSP algorithms at play, the Metaverse is an intuitive delay pedal that covers a huge range of vintage and modern delay sounds.
Selected from Brian Wampler’s all-time favourite delays, the 11 algorithms designed in-house include models based on classics like the Boss DM‑2, EHX Memory Man and Maestro Echoplex, as well as modulated flanger effects and modern pedals from the Wampler stable. There’s even a take on the legendary Binson Echorec echo machine, famously used by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour and other luminaries in the '70s. The pedal operates at 48 kHz and 24-bit, ensuring high-quality analogue and digital conversion with a full 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response.
The primary rotary knob selects one of the 11 built-in delays, and five common parameter controls adjust the settings for each of the different algorithms. Holding down the left footswitch allows access to alternate parameters for certain delays, which can then be saved to one of eight preset locations, or up to 128 via MIDI. The Metaverse’s delay time and other parameters can all be independently controlled via MIDI with CC and Program Change commands, connected via TRS mini-jack.
The Wampler Metaverse is available now, MSRP $349.97.
