Steinberg’s long-awaited Wavelab 7 is now available. The latest version of this popular audio editing suite, which, along with Cubase 5.5, was announced at the beginning of this year, is the first to be compatible with Apple’s OS X operating system.
As well as Mac compatibility (the program will, of course, still run on Windows), version 7 features a significantly revised GUI, a suite of plug-ins from Sonnox, including their highly regarded DeNoiser, DeBuzzer and DeClicker processors, and a selection of VST3 plug-ins taken from Steinberg’s post-production DAW Nuendo, including the Post Filter. Additionally, Wavelab 7 now features built-in CD and DVD-A burning facilities.
The full version of Wavelab 7 costs just under £500, including VAT, and is available for a reduced price to owners of Wavelab 6. For more information, check out the Steinberg web site.
