New video course to get your mind in gear
No one can be inspired all the time, right? If you’re struggling to get the creative juices flowing when making your own tracks, then perhaps it’s time to give remixing a try. A new video-course entitled The Art of the Remix includes around seven hours of content, and could help you to get out of that creative rut. The lessons are lead by Vincent DiPasquale and Steven Lee — who have credits ranging from producing popular house tunes to remixing Madonna — and will take you through producing a top class remix from start to finish. The aim of The Art of the Remix is to familiarise the user with the potential of their studio, by re-working the session files provided into a commercial release. Many top producers have cut their teeth remixing other artists, and even the experienced producers may find they learn something they didn’t know before. Sessions are held using Apple Logic Pro, though the topics covered are applicable to all DAWs. The Art of the Remix costs £61 for the DVD and streaming option, or £55 for streaming video only.
