Radial HotShot DM1 dynamic mic selector.I have a Roland RC‑30 looper pedal, but I want to be able to use a single microphone, set up so that I can use a foot pedal to switch the mic from the PA to the looper to lay down a vocal loop, and then switch the mic back to the PA. Most people I've seen use two separate mics — one for the PA, and another for the looper. Can you suggest a suitable switcher? The nearest I've got to solving this is a Boss AB‑2, which would work except that the sockets are unbalanced quarter‑inch jacks — I want to use microphone XLR cables.

There are several A/B switchers suitable for unpowered dynamic mics, but the Whirlwind Selector XL also allows you to change the destination of a phantom-powered microphone.If you want to use a phantom-powered microphone, then you could consider the Whirlwind SelectorXL.
