Gyro is the first product to be released by 10K Audio, a new audio software developer based in Berlin, Germany. Aiming to provide music makers with an inspiring and easy-to-use instrument, the debut release comes packed with an extensive collection of loops and sound sources, and allows users to manipulate them in real time to create new and interesting ideas.
The instrument brings together a versatile selection of multi-sampled instruments and wavetables, with sources ranging from “dusty organs and clean pianos” to “lo-fi vocals and tape-textured mallets”. Thanks to a multi-layer engine, up to four sources can be combined in a single patch, with each layer benefitting from a comprehensive set of modulation functions and effects processing. A Perform view offers an overview of the entire instrument, with a set of macro controls providing access to each layer’s key parameters. Pattern and Chord pages then offer sequencer-style control and a built-in chord progression tool, while Sound, Effect and Mod pages provide in-depth control over the onboard synthesis, effects and modulation capabilities.
10K Audio are offering two versions of Gyro: Pro, a fully-featured variant with a library of around 1450 presets, and Play, a packed-down version that contains 350 presets and features just the Perform view.

Compatibility
Gyro is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or higher, and Macs running macOS 13.4 and above. VST3 and AU plug-in versions are available.

Gyro is available now, with pricing as follows:
- Gyro Play: $10£10 / €10.
- Gyro Pro: $149£129 / €149.
GBP prices include VAT. Users can upgrade from Play to Pro at any time, and will simply pay the difference between the two prices.
