For the first time, music professionals and enthusiasts around the globe will have the chance to learn Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio techniques directly from leading mix engineers in a series of live-streamed masterclasses. Hosted by PMC Speakers and Audiomovers, this groundbreaking event allows participants to tune in to the live sessions using Audiomovers' LISTENTO technology.
In this world-first, top Dolby Atmos mix engineers will stream their session audio live from PMC-equipped studios in various locations worldwide. Listeners can experience the audio directly in binaural format, either on Atmos-equipped systems or through Apple Spatial Audio on iPhone or Mac.
The Audiomovers LISTENTO software offers a unique capability, streaming up to 16 channels of Dolby Atmos to multiple devices. These streams can then be re-rendered locally, allowing participants to hear the Atmos mix in Apple Spatial Binaural.
This workflow inspired the idea for a global masterclass event, where industry leaders could share their techniques and insights with a worldwide audience, all in full lossless Atmos quality. Traditional online platforms like YouTube have made it difficult for users to learn about Atmos mixing without experiencing the audio in its native format. With this event, listeners will hear intermediate and advanced techniques in real-time, exactly as the presenters intended.
Meet the Presenters
The masterclass features some of the biggest names in Dolby Atmos mixing:
- Steve Genewick: A pioneer in the use of Dolby Atmos for music, Steve helped build the first Atmos-equipped music mixing room at Capitol Studio C. His techniques and Pro Tools templates have become industry standards.
- Teezio: A GRAMMY-winning mix engineer known for his work with Chris Brown and other major pop and hip hop artists. Teezio is an early adopter of Audiomovers and Dolby Atmos, creating both stereo and Atmos mixes for his clients.
- Pascal Pahl: An award-winning engineer with nearly 15 years of experience in TV, film, and music mixing. Pascal now leads the PMC New York team and has completed hundreds of Atmos mixes.
- Kurt Martinez: The lead Atmos mix engineer at Dean Street Studios in London, Kurt has worked on projects for artists like Kylie Minogue, Rita Ora, and Duran Duran.
All the presenters will stream live from their PMC-equipped studios, allowing participants to experience their Dolby Atmos sessions through the LISTENTO app. Whether tuning in from an Atmos-equipped studio or a mobile device, attendees will be able to follow along and learn from the best in the business.
