Acon Digital have released an update for Extract:Dialogue, their acclaimed dialogue noise-suppression plug-in which is capable of separating dialogue from common background noise such as wind, traffic, rustling, hum, clicks and pops.
The company say that version 1.5 of the plug-in delivers significant improvements to audio quality, utilising an AI-powered model that is capable of correcting phase distortions and destructive interference between dialogue and noise signals. This supplements the processing carried out by earlier versions, which achieved their results using just frequency-based processing, and allows the plug-in to offer more natural-sounding audio, especially when dealing with noise that overlaps with dialogue in the frequency spectrum.
In addition to the quality improvements, the update has also increased performance, with the latest version demonstrating around a 30% increase in processing speed when compared to version 1.2.
Compatibility
Extract:Dialogue is supported on PCs running Windows 7 and higher, and Macs running macOS 10.9 and above. VST, VST3, AAX Native, AudioSuite and AU plug-in formats are available.
