ADAM launch new monitors

ADAM Apple and ANF10 monitors

It was inevitable really. The moment someone called a company ADAM, some bright spark was going to suggest that they call one of their products the Apple!
However, once you’re past the name, the German monitor company’s new pair of active monitors look like they’re no laughing matter. With a retail price of £795 per pair, the benefits of ADAM’s Advanced Ribbon Technology tweeters and Hexacone woofers, as demonstrated in two SOS reviews of their higher-end models, have now become much more affordable to the home studio owner.
The monitors are a compact design with an off-white finish, and magnetic shielding avoids interference with computer monitors. The rear panel hosts balanced and unbalanced connections, as well as a set of three trimmer pots for tailoring the frequency response of the speakers to your room.
Even more affordable, at only £399 per pair, are the new ANF10 passive nearfields, if you’ve already got an suitable amplifier in your studio. Although these are a similar width to the Apple, they are both taller and deeper, as well as having the geometric black styling of most of the other monitors in the range.
