ALM/Busy Circuits launch Pip Filter & LFO

Two new compact 4HP modules introduced

ALM/Busy Circuits have just announced the launch of two new Eurorack modules, the Pip Filter and Pip LFO, both of which pack a comprehensive selection of features into just 4HP.

Pip Filter

The first of the two new modules is the Pip Filter, a compact 4HP voltage-controlled two-pole resonant low-pass filter equipped with a ’pingable’ trigger input and built-in VCA. Filter cutoff can be controlled via both a front-panel control and a pair of CV inputs, once of which includes a built-in attenuverter; resonance is manually controlled, and the module can be pushed into self oscillation. Theres’s also a trigger input that allows the filter to be ‘pinged’ in order to create percussive, plucked sounds, while a built in VCA allows for independent amplitude control of the filtered signal.

Pip LFO

The second of the new offerings is an all-analogue LFO that features a wide frequency range, voltage control, numerous outputs, a reset input and a VCO mode. The speed of the LFO can be defined by a manual control or voltage control input, and there’s a choice of a unipolar square wave output along with both bipolar and unipolar triangle, saw and sine waveform outputs. With the VCO mode activated, the frequency is increased to audio range, and offers V/oct tracking for approximately five octaves.
