American-made Mono Bags come to UK

The American-made Mono Bags, which have built up a reputation for high quality and durability in the cymbal and stick softcase market, are now available in the UK courtesy of the Music Shipping Company. The Mono Bag range was created by Californian designer Daniel Kushner, whose background is in industrial design engineering, with the belief that expensive instruments deserve suitably matched quality for their cases. Mono Bags have an ultra-light laminated foam shell with specially placed ABS panels for what the company refer to as "an unmatched level of protection". They are also completely waterproof. The cymbal bag has a main pocket with four separate slots that take up to 22-inch ride cymbals. On the outside is a separate zipped pocket that will take hi-hats up to 15 inches in size, while an additional zipped pocket is for splash cymbals up to 10 inches. The durability factor is upped several notches with the addition of a solid rubber sole, industrial-strength zips and steel rivets. The Mono Stick Bag, meanwhile, has a zip-through design, which allows it to be positioned flat against the floor tom for easy access. An outer pocket is provided for wallet, keys and mobile phone, with a special place for a drum key. The cymbal bag has a recommended price of £80 while the stick bag is priced at £39, and both bags come in Jet Black or Steel Grey finishes.
