AmplifyWorld have announced that the deadline for applications to $500,000 Artist Fund programme has been extended to 1 October 2024.
Announced back in July 2024 — and covered here in SOS News — the scheme offers musicians the chance to apply for grants ranging from $1000 to $50,000 to help fund all aspects of their music careers, from songwriting, recording and production through to marketing and touring costs. The new deadline extends the application period by a month, providing candidates with additional time to prepare and submit their applications. Those who are shortlisted will be invited for a second-round interview, with the first grantees to be announced by the end of 2024.
“With growing awareness of the Artist Fund, we've seen a surge in applications during what were supposed to be the final weeks of this application window. We recognise that there aren’t many funding opportunities like this available right now, which is why we've decided to extend the deadline. We want to make sure that the artists who have just discovered the Artist Fund have enough time to put together an application that they’re happy with. The deadline extension won’t affect the funding award date. Artists who are successful in their applications will be able to hit the ground running with their projects in 2025.” - Ian Matthews, Co-Founder, AmplifyWorld
