Erica Synths unveil Resonant FB & FBEX

10 digitally controlled analogue filter bands

Erica Synths Graphic Resonant Filterbank FB Eurorack multi-mode filter module

Erica Synths have announced the upcoming launch of two new Eurorack modules, the Graphic Resonant Filterbank (Resonant FB) and Graphic Resonant FB Expander (FBEX). The former houses 10 analogue filter bands that can be controlled manually or via CV signals, and can be paired with the latter to offer hands-on cut and boost control over each band.

Erica Synths FBEXThe FBEX kits out the Resonant FB with 10 additional hands-on controls. Thanks to a number of different configurations, the company say that the Resonant FB can function as an unconventional multi-mode filter module, and can even be regarded as an instrument in its own right when experimenting with its resonance settings. Users are able to save up to 128 presets that contain different filter bank, filter mode, dynamic EQ and resonance settings, and there’s a clock input that allows it to be synchronised to an external clock source.

Along with its main audio output, there are also two additional patch points that offer access to the output from the odd- and even-numbered banks.

Each of the filters can be controlled via a front-panel encoder, but for those who want some additional hands-on control Erica Synths have also developed the optional Graphic Resonant FB Expander module. Designed for use exclusively with the Resonant FB, it adds an additional ten rotary controls that provide simultaneous control over each band’s cut and boost functionality.

Pricing & Availability

The Graphic Resonant Filterbank and Graphic Resonant FB Expander are expected to ship on 4 September 2024, priced at €320 and €100 respectively.
