That's a saving of more than 30 percent on the normal retail price! At the time of writing, 995 Euros was equivalent to £832 and $1287.

The OCX uses an oscillator that's oven-controlled, and is therefore less prone to temperature fluctuations than conventional clocks. This means it can provide, in theory, a more stable master clock signal. It also has Jitter Management technology on board, which apparently "makes jitter essentially nonexistent".
