Digital Audio Denmark (DAD) have announced the launch of a new hands-on controller that can be paired up with their flagship Thunder | Core audio interfaces. The Junior features a set of customisable tactile controls that provide seamless, real-time operation of pre-configured Control | Pack settings, and promises to make the interfaces more flexible and easier to use than ever before.
The Control | Pack functionality of the company’s DADman software provides native switching between any set of sources and output destinations, providing all Thunder | Core products with an additional layer of playback redundancy and show control. The new Junior unit provides tactile control of these Control | Pack routing presets via a customisable set of illuminated buttons, with visual feedback provided by status LEDs and character displays. The unit can be connected to any Thunder | Core device via Ethernet, and is supported by DADman version 5.8 and Thunder | Core firmware version 1.1.0.3 and above.
