Majestic Brass Solo Instruments is the forth addition to Fracture Sounds’ award-winning Soloist Series, a range of sample libraries that have been designed to deliver ultra-realistic legato programming and fill some of the more niche gaps that can be left in composers’ toolkits by larger orchestral collections.
The latest instalment in the series focuses on the four core instruments of the orchestral brass family: trumpet, trombone, French horn and tuba. Fracture Sounds say that it produces a sound that is “bold, yet warm”, and is perfect for creating solo lines that are expressive but not overpowering. As you’d expect, it blends seamlessly with other libraries in the collection, and is said to be the ideal tool for scoring intimate, emotive passages.
Each of the included instruments feature a pair of legato articulations. The trumpet includes the Vibrato and Non-Vibrato variants that will be familiar to users of the company’s Brass Band Soloists release, while the French horn, trombone and tuba each come with a choice of Regular and Mellow modes, helping to cover a versatile and expressive playing range.

Compatibility
Majestic Brass Soloists runs in Native Instruments’ Kontakt Player (or the full version of Kontakt) versions 6.7 or later, which are supported on PCs running Windows 10 and above, and Macs running macOS 10.14 and higher. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available, along with a standalone application.

Majestic Brass Soloists is available now, and is being offered at an introductory price of £119 until 21 October 2025, when it will increase to its full cost of £149. Prices include VAT.
