The latest announcement from TC Electronic isn’t a new product entirely, but rather a reissue that adds MIDI connectivity to one of their previous offerings.
The new M100 retains the same form factor as its predecessor, occupying a compact desktop-style chassis and sporting the same set of front-panel controls. On the left are Input, Output and Mix controls, while the right houses a selector switch for toggling between the unit’s effects, a Parameter dial for adjusting the onboard presets and a button that doubles up a select and tap tempo switch. a variety of reverb algorithms are present (Cathedral, Ambience, Chamber, Concert, Club, Reverse, Gated Reverse and Gold Plate) along with a basic delay, a selection of modulation effects (Chorus, Rotary, Phaser, Flanger, Pitch Shift) and a pair of dual-effects algorithms (Chorus+Reverb, Delay+Reverb).
Around on the rear panel you'll find a pair of stereo line-level inputs and outputs alongside a footswitch input, all present on quarter-inch TRS sockets, as well as the newly introduced MIDI input, which can be used to toggle the unit in and out of bypass and switching effects. Power is delivered by an external 12V DC supply.
The M100 remains largely unchanged, with the exception of MIDI connectivity.
