TC Electronic have expanded their range of compact pedals with the introduction of the Infinite Mini Sample Sustainer. A compact version of the original TC Electronic Infinite Sample Sustainer which was released last year, this new pedal offers musicians the same effect in a smaller form.
The Infinite Mini allows musicians to stack notes upon notes or incorporate full chords into sustained mixes, creating textured soundscapes. Its Fade In and Decay knobs provide precise control over the interaction between stacked notes and chords. The free TonePrint app allows editing beyond what is available from the front‑panel controls. The function of knobs can be adjusted via TonePrint mapping, which allows for more ways to use the pedal. The TonePrint Editor also offers the option to define the number of layers to be overdubbed.
The sustain process of the Infinite Mini involves looping the sound back and forth randomly and simultaneously, resulting in an organic tone. TC Electronic also say that their Analog-Dry-Thru design means that the guitar signal passes the effects stage unaffected by the pedal’s digital processing.
For more user customisation the Infinite Mini, genuine TC reverbs and modulation effects can be applied to the Infinite Mini’s sustained layers. Additionally, musicians can fine-tune EQ and sample rate modules according to their preferences.
