Powered by the same AI Machine Modeling technology as its larger siblings, the newest arrival is said to be the perfect solution for those looking to practise on the go. A built-in quarter-inch TS plug allows it to be connected directly to an instrument, with a 3.5mm mini-jack socket providing a wired stereo headphone output. It also boasts Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to stream music and backing tracks, and is capable of functioning as a USB-C audio interface.
Paired with the TONEX Control App, the device offers access to over 40,000 free Tone Models via IK Multimedia’s online ToneNET platform, with yet more available as additional purchases via the company’s Premium and Signature collections. All of the Tone Models can be transmitted wirelessly to the TONEX Plug, offering quick and easy access to a staggering array of captured rigs. Along with its core functionality as an amp and effects modeller, the device also comes equipped with an onboard tuner and metronome.
