Alongside their own hardware and software instruments, Expressive E also offer a range of sound libraries for other developers’ instruments. The latest arrival to the range is the Lounge Lizard Expressive Suite, which includes 100 MPE presets for Applied Acoustic Systems’ popular Lounge Lizard EP-5 physically modelled electric piano.
Crafted entirely by Expressive E’s in-house team, every preset in the new expansion responds to velocity, bend-per-note and aftertouch, promising to deliver “unprecedented warmth and musicality to every note”. As you might imagine, the patches have been fully optimised for use with the company’s flagship Osmose synth, although their MPE compatibility means that they’ll work seamlessly with any MPE-capable controller including the likes of the Ableton Push 3 and ROLI Seaboard.
