Imaginando have just announced the release of a new update for their free modulation plug-in that introduces VST3 compatibility for the Windows and Mac versions, along with iOS 14 support for its mobile application and plug-in counterpart.
Described by the company as a “delay modulator”, DLYM provides a versatile range of chorus and flanger-style effects inspired by classic analogue effects units. There are two processing modes: Analog Emulation and Dimension Style, which both revolve around six tempo sync’able modulation waveforms: sine, square, saw, triangle, sample & hold and filtered sample & hold. Time, Feedback, Depth and Rate parameters are joined by a Spread control that offers some adjustment over the effect’s stereo width, and a Crossover control that can be used to limit the frequency range that processing is applied to.
A built-in preset and patch management system is provided, and the plug-in come loaded with a collection of factory presets designed to spark some creative ideas.
Compatibility
DLYM is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 11 and higher. VST2, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available. The iPad version requires iPadOS 14 or higher, and is available as an AUv3 plug-in and standalone App.
Availability
The latest version of DLYM is available now, and is free to download.
