Developed over many years by Austrian microphone manufacturer Lewitt Audio in close co‑operation with an extensive list of world-renowned industry professionals, the LCT 1040 flagship condenser microphone has been designed to serve as your ultimate studio centrepiece.
The LCT 1040 is a tube/FET microphone with a power supply and detachable remote-control unit. The latter connects via studio standard 3-pin XLR and lets you dial in the perfect sound from your monitoring sweet spot, where you can make the best decisions.
The LCT 1040 comes with an impressive, beautifully-designed shockmount and magnetic pop shield. The valve/tube is visible through the glass window.The LCT 1040 features four distinct 100% all-analogue tube characteristics: Clear – Warm – Dark – Saturated. Together, they cover an impressive range of tonal possibilities for different vocalists and instruments, and you can mix the tube circuit seamlessly with a crystal-clear FET for added extra punch to enable you to find just the right sound.
You can also set the polar patterns seamlessly, and there are four low-cuts and attenuation settings available to enable you to capture the right signal level at the source.
The shockmount features carbon fibre parts for extra support and includes a magnetic pop filter with a high-performance double-screen design. Lewitt have also paid careful attention to the build quality and the majority of components are custom-made from scratch to ensure optimal acoustic performance (watch the video for more on this).
The LCT 1040 ships in a nearly indestructible transport case including the microphone, PSU, remote control, shockmount, mic mount, magnetic pop filter and cables.
