The Linux Audio Conference, or LAC, is an international conference dedicated to free/open-source software for music, audio and other media where GNU/Linux features as the main creation platform. The organisers have announced that this year’s in-person event will be taking place between 18 and 20 June 2026, and will be hosted at Maynooth University in Ireland. 

Call for Papers, Presentations, Demos & Workshops

  • LAC 2026 invites submissions of papers, presentations and workshops addressing all areas of audio processing based on Linux and open-source software. All submissions and presentations should be written in English, can focus on technical, artistic and/or scientific issues and target developers and/or users. This includes (but is not limited to) the following categories:

Key Dates

  • 10 March 2026: Paper/music submission deadline.
  • 20 April 2026: Review deadline.
  • 27 April 2026: Notification of acceptance.
  • 25 May 2026: Camera-Ready version deadline.
