Sound Science sample library
Production duo Coldcut (and purveyors of the Ninja Tune label) have collaborated with Loopmasters to create Sound Science, a sample library with content that spans multiple genres, from house to hip hop and everywhere in between. Included are samples and loops of drums and basses, plus “plenty of electronic parps, burbles and stabs from some of the most obscure vintage synthesizers we could find”.
What’s more, “a dash of scratchy stuff, a large pinch of melodic topping, a drizzle of vocal blips, a noisette of low-slung sub and lashings of punchy noise” will help the user add that essence of Ninja to which many dance floors rock. All in, there’s 620MB of sample data in formats including WAV, REX2 and Apple Loops, with presets for numerous software samplers.
